Geo Plus always invests in the most sophisticated effective equipment
With the purchase of the new Kongsberg EM 2040, Geo Plus has taken a big step forward in the field of measurements in shallow water. The system has new advanced features including a narrow beam width (0.5 x 0.5°) and adjustable frequency. There is a choice of three detection modes (equiangular, equidistant and high-density) with up to 1600 beams per ping can be included. This results in high resolution images, clean data and improving productivity.
Also the deployment options increased in the area of classification of sediments (particularly grain sizes of sediment) surveys and inspection of structures, pipelines and objects on the seabed. Geo Plus was one of the first companies to use this new technique.
Hydrographic survey equipment in use:
- Multibeam echosounder: Kongsberg EM2040D and EM2040C
- Multibeam echosounder: Kongsberg EM3002
- Positioning systems Trimble RTK GPS/GLONASS (more accurate than GPS), Topcon and CNAV.
- Combined motion sensor and gyrocompass: Ixsea Hydrins/Octans (generation 3 and 4)
- Digital sound velocity probe & sensor and valeport mini SVP/SVS: Reson SVP14/15
- Singlebeam Echosounder: Kongsberg EA400 with 2 transducers (38 kHz/200 kHz and 710 kHz)
- Hydrographic recording and processing software QINSy en Qloud from QPS and Civil3D.
