Geo Plus focuses specifically on performing the latest techniques of bathymetric surveys using multibeam echo sounders for a wide range of purposes and also firmly aims to an optimal presentation and visualization of the survey results.
All survey vessels of Geo Plus are equipped with an RTK (D)GPS position system. A combined motion and gyro sensor is used for the track of the vessel and to accurately record the movements (roll, pitch, yaw and heave). Measurements of the multibeam echo sounder system are corrected using the information of the vessel deviations. The speed of sound through water is measured using a digital sound velocity probe. This information is, then, used to correct the measurements of the multibeam echo sounder system.
All survey equipment is interfaced to a powerful computer system, which is used for realtime data collection and visualization on board of the survey vessel. The preliminary results become visible at once. Afterwards the raw data can be processed and analyzed by the client or by our own experienced survey team.
Prior to all survey operations, the complete setup is checked and calibrated. Various test runs , a so called patch test, are carried out in order to detect any flaws in the system.
