With the Geo Motion we performed various successful surveys for different clients at Offshore Wind Farms in 2014 and 2015

One of the surveys was at the Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) in the German sector of the North Sea (approximate 20 nautical miles north of the island of Helgoland, Germany).

In March 2014 we performed a debris survey using side scan sonar and multibeam echo sounder to determine that the seabed is free of any debris before the installation of a offshore substation.

In May 2015 we performed an as-built survey using parametric sub-bottom profiler and multibeam echo sounder to document the trench profile information and to determine and verify the depth of cover on the trenched cables.

During these surveys, our Geo Motion was equipped with:

♦ Kongsberg 2040D multibeam echo sounder system.
♦ Ixsea Elics 100/400 kHz side scan sonar system.
♦ Innomar SES 2000 standard parametric sub-bottom profiler system.
